Description

Together with two antique watch collectors, I created the foundation for a product that could track watches across over time by looking at data from auctions and other reseller pages. We scraped and collected data with the ambition to offer a more detailed view than you'd get via other sites.

We scraped hundreds of thousands of images, together with the corresponding data and made it easily searchable. This made it possible for us to very quickly identify if a given object currently for sale had been changed in any significant way over time.

The product ultimately fizzled due to lacking interest from the major auction houses, making it hard to obtain and offer data (especially images) in a legal way.
